Punting discounts

GCSU is a member of the student discount scheme run by Scudamore's. Caius students can hire their punts for just £7 per hour, with further discounted rates for all day and over night hire. Scudamore's have a two punt stations, at Mill Lane and Magdalene Bridge.

Punting from the Granta is also possible with a student discount.


Taxi scheme

GCSU have set up an emergency taxi fund in both the main College and Harvey Court porters' lodges to provide cab fares whenever students find themselves in need of a taxi. Simply sign out the money as you would a key; it is only a loan and must be paid back as soon as possible. If you are having real difficulty in paying back the money, please have a quiet word with any member of the Exec.

GCSU have also set up an emergency taxi scheme with Panther and Cabco taxi companies. If you need a taxi in an emergency, you can present your CUSU card (no other ID is acceptable) and the taxi driver will then record your name and the College Bursary will be sent an invoice. The cost of the taxi will then be debited to your College bill.
