Noise

“There is a fair amount of noise from gardies but after a couple of weeks you can barely hear it because you'll get use it.” (Jan 2004)

Gyp Room

“The kitchen is virtually opposite the room. It's a decent size; big enough to cook and loads of storage space. Only four people share it.” (Jan 2004)

Bath Room

“Great bathroom facilities. There is one shower and bath plus two rooms each containing a sink and toilet. Bathroom is literally opposite the room.” (Jan 2004)

Furniture

“You get a big enough desk complete with chair, another chill-out chair, spacious wardrobe, chest of draws and a useful mini-coffee table” (Jan 2004)

Best Feature

“The greatest thing about living in Rose Crescent is location (i.e.) centre of town. And trust! you're gonna appreciate that when it comes to stumbling home from a night on the lash in da club. Also everything you need is right round the corner (unlike harvey where it's a bit of a mission into town). Also, there are no housekeepers so you can play your music as loud as you want, party as much as you want and do whatever your student instincts dictate without the annoyance of what is, effectively, a substitute parent interfering. The room itself is comfortable and carpeted (unlike that cheap-excuse-for-a-carpet-cork-shit at harvey). Although it's only one room, it's still spacious and of course the house has overall good facilities.” (Jan 2004)

Worst Feature

“There's not much natural light; in your room you need to have the light on pretty much all the time. Also noise travels, you'll be able to hear neighbours' music and loud conversation but that's only annoying when you wanna go to sleep. Otherwise it's not really an issue.” (Jan 2004)

General Comments

“The bedders are noisy quite a lot of the time but I suppose it's sporadic; some mornings you can distinctly hear their loud yapping - your sleep will be interspersed with the discernible sound of a conversation about tea, the lousy state the kitchen's in or whatever other random bollocks bedders go on about - but other mornings there's not a stir and you can get up at 1 in the afternoon having not been disturbed! Basically, this is a great place to live in Cambridge” (Jan 2004)
