“Noise is much exaggerated. Very effective sound-proofing windows now fitted. Weekend evenings can be a bit noisy. La Raza sometimes play loud music in the evenings, but make up for it by giving us free coffees whenever we like.” (Jan 2007)
“Very noisy at night (as close to Gardies) but you get used to it.” (Feb 2006)
“Gardies is a bit noisy, but not too much.” (Jan 2004)
- Gyp Room

“Quite large, about 12 metres from room, only used by about 5-6 people. The sinks do get blocked up very easily though.” (Feb 2006)
“5 people share the gyp room. 5m away from the room. I can swing a cat at armslenght from the center of the room.” (Jan 2004)
- Bath Room
“Good bathrooms, modern. Power showers very good. Approx 6 sharing 2 bathrooms.” (Jan 2007)
“2 decent sized toilets with showers about 6 metres from room. Very convenient, only used by about 5-6 people. The showers get blocked up though (so you can't have a half an hour shower without flooding the bathroom)” (Feb 2006)
“There are 5 people for two bathrooms. Both average size and each one has a shower. 3m from the room.” (Jan 2004)
- Furniture
“Two comfy chairs, one office chair, desk, chest of drawers, wardrobe, fitted cupboards. Lots of shelving and lots of cupboard space.” (Jan 2007)
“Desk, office chair, comfy chair (both a bit knackered), big wardrobe, big chest of drawers. LOADS of shelves and some more cupboards (half of the cupboard doors don't move but you shouldn't need them all anyway)” (Feb 2006)
“large desk. No dining table or night table. Loads of cupboards and plenty of storing space. No sofa, just a confortable armchair” (Jan 2004)
- Best Feature
“Location is unbeatable, so close to everything! Has a nice view, see photo. Room has character, nice original fireplace.” (Jan 2007)
“Convenient location, no problems coming in at 2am and you can generally be as noisy as you like, the facilities are really close by.” (Feb 2006)
“Location. Plenty of sunlight” (Jan 2004)
- Worst Feature
“Could be noisier in summer when you open the windows. Love the room though, very good choice especially for a second year.” (Jan 2007)
“The entry system doesn't always work, it gets very hot even in winter (so I had to buy a fan), the room is not very well lit so you need to bring at least 2 lights with you.” (Feb 2006)
“Poor furniture. No basin.” (Jan 2004)
- General Comments
“Not a great deal of sunlight, but bright enough. Plenty of sockets, room always nice and warm. Roughly same size as a HC room.” (Jan 2007)
“The room is not very well lit so you need to bring at least 2 lights with you. The room never seems to get cleaned either but never mind. The lack of a wash basin isn't that bad as the bathrooms are so close.” (Feb 2006)
“Noisy bedders. Blue carpet. Plenty of sockets.” (Jan 2004)
