Noise

“Quite noisy as bed area is by main staircase into Rose Crescent, also can occasionally hear music (although quietly) from La Raza.” (Jan 2008)

“This room is round the back of the building - no noise from the street. Pigeons in the morning. Looks out on the concrete jungle between Rose Crescent and Green Street. Occasionally the McDonalds vents are smelly, but really they're just annoying cos of the all-day humming. Only rarely hear music from La Raza and not loud.” (Jan 2006)

“some noise form La Raza comes up through the floor - though apparantly the porters can tell them to turn it down if it gets too loud. Faces the back so no noise from outside at night. my only neighbour is above me so less chance of noise from other people and my noise irritating others” (Jan 2005)

Gyp Room

“Gyp room shared by 6 people - big, lots of cupboard space.” (Jan 2008)

“Pretty big gyp room shared between 5. Not far at all. Plenty of cupboard space. No freezer or oven.” (Jan 2006)

“Nice big kitchen between 5 people, normal sized fridge and hobs” (Jan 2005)

Bath Room

“2 bathrooms right by room, shared by 6 people. Good showers.” (Jan 2008)

“2 of them between 5 right next to my room. Showers are pretty good.” (Jan 2006)

“2 Clean big bathrooms right next door, not sure how many use it but rarely have to wait” (Jan 2005)

Furniture

“Desk, coffee table, comfy chair, bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedside table. Perfect.” (Jan 2008)

“1 desk (pretty small), good shelves big enough for all my books and storing food and plates etc. Chest of drawers, a good sized wardrobe. Side table. Little table good for a printer or something. One computer chair and one other larger chair. I recommending getting an inflatable sofa.” (Jan 2006)

“not v large desk but 2 comfy(ish) chairs and some side tables. A closet and a chest of drawers for clothes. Some shelf space - though it is very high up so its not easy to use all of it.” (Jan 2005)

Best Feature

“Almost 2 rooms as bed area is seperated by a couple of steps up.” (Jan 2008)

“I said the room is only a single (and not a set) cos it is. But it has 3 steps in it, going up to the bedroom section. Would be a set, but there's no door between the rooms/sections. I like the split in the room. Really nice firplace (bricked up). Probably the 3rd best in Rose Crescent - Rm 24, Rm 1, then Rm 2.” (Jan 2006)

“Size (it is rectangular so not sure how large an animal would fit!)and the fact that the room is sort of divided in two by some steps so it feels like 2 rooms.” (Jan 2005)

Worst Feature

“Can be noisy at night - but as it is at the back very little street noise.” (Jan 2008)

“Constant humming from the vents. Quite hard to get the temperature right - central heating, but either really hot, or really cold.” (Jan 2006)

“No view as it overlooks the back of gardies, macdonalds etc, the smell from the back at certain times.” (Jan 2005)

General Comments

“Definitely one of the nicest rooms in Rosey C.” (Jan 2008)

“Bedder really friendly. Good high ceiling. Plenty of wall sockets. THe slip in the room is cool. Really good room for a 2nd year, but might be reserved for 1st/4th years.” (Jan 2006)

“Big and comfortable, lots of clothes storage and lots of side tables. Also has a nice looking firepalce.” (Jan 2005)
