- Noise
“Bedroom overlooks rose-cresent, and so there is sometimes a little bit of noise, but I find the double-glazing does its job and it has never disturbed me. Living room faces St Mike's court, so no problems there.” (Jan 2005)
“Occasional gardies noise; this is bearable due to good double glazing, and should miraculously vanish next Christmas (thank you Santa).” (Jan 2004)
- Gyp Room
“Whilst technically the gyp room is shared with fellow's office next door, in reality it?s pretty much mine (She occasionally comes in to fill up her kettle). Good size for one person, with plenty of storage space. Hobs are a bit ancient, but nice and powerful for cooking.” (Jan 2005)
“Mine, all Mine! Mwah Ha Ha! Well, strictly speaking it is shared with the fellow's set next door, and interconnects the two sets, but they never use it. There is a sink, two genuine 'bunsen burner' gas hobs, C.1903 vintage, and lots of cupboard space” (Jan 2004)
- Bath Room
“Bathroom, shower and toilet on the floor above, as well as the semi-communal facilities in the basement.” (Jan 2005)
“One bathroom the floor above, and the usual st mikes semi-communal facilities in the basement (forgivable for the fantastic water-pressure from the showers, and the fact I have never met anyone else down there. Am I the only Caian to ever wash?)” (Jan 2004)
- Furniture
“Living Room: Smallish desk and chair, two seater sofa thingie, comfy arm-chair, medium coffee-table, small coffee-table, good-sized fridge(!), two book-cases and two lamps. Bedroom: large chest of drawers, large built-in wardrobe and a medicine cabinet.” (Jan 2005)
“Medium desk, two-seater sofa, armchair, two bookcases and a fridge. Bedroom has bed (doh...), built in wardrobe (capacious) and chest of drawers, along with a medicine cabinet next to the sink.” (Jan 2004)
- Best Feature
“This room has a lot going for it: a good sized bedroom and living room; "own" gyp-room and nice features such as a hand-painted fireplace.” (Jan 2005)
“Decent size, quiet, central, pretty (especially the exquisitely painted fireplace). Nice view into St Mikes churchyard, and across at the Waterhouse building (greenery obscures Trinity Street). The classic Cambridge Set.” (Jan 2004)
- Worst Feature
“Not much really. The view is not as good as some of the higher St Mike's rooms, and you don't have a proper student neighbour.” (Jan 2005)
“Not much, really.” (Jan 2004)
- General Comments
“Friendly bedder who actually makes the bed and tidies up everyday. If you are near the top of the ballot, might be worth giving this room some consideration. Feel free to e-mail me on zj206 if you want to come and have a look around.” (Jan 2005)
“Bedder empties my bin daily, although not much evidence of a hoover having passed this way lately...” (Jan 2004)
